THE ROLE:
As a Senior/Experienced Design Verification Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and driving the verification strategy for complex graphics processor IP. Working closely with architects, RTL designers, firmware engineers, and verification experts across a global organization, you will ensure new features are comprehensively verified and delivered with the highest quality standards.
This position offers the opportunity to influence verification methodology, solve challenging architectural problems, and drive verification from specification through coverage closure and silicon readiness.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with architects, RTL designers, firmware engineers, and cross-functional teams to understand new features and define verification requirements.
- Develop comprehensive verification plans covering feature functionality, corner cases, interactions with adjacent hardware blocks, and overall system-level behavior.
- Own verification deliverables from specification review through feature enablement, coverage closure, and silicon readiness.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments, infrastructure, and reusable verification components.
- Develop directed, constrained-random, and scenario-based tests to validate complex design functionality.
- Analyze test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and work closely with RTL and architecture teams to drive issue resolution.
- Drive functional and code coverage closure using data-driven verification methodologies.
- Improve verification productivity through automation, simulation efficiency improvements, and workflow optimization.
- Contribute to verification methodology enhancements, infrastructure evolution, and best-practice adoption across the organization.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and help drive successful delivery across project teams.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Extensive experience in Design Verification for ASIC, SoC, CPU, GPU, FPGA, Networking, or other complex digital designs.
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification methodologies
- Proven experience developing verification environments from the ground up as well as maintaining and enhancing mature environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complete verification solutions from architecture/specification review through coverage closure.
- Expertise with industry-standard simulation and debug tools including Synopsys VCS, Verdi, and/or Cadence or other EDA environments.
- Solid understanding of computer architecture, cache coherency, memory hierarchy, and high-performance interconnects.
- Experience verifying complex subsystem or SoC-level functionality beyond standard peripheral interfaces.
- Exposure to simulation profiling, performance optimization, acceleration, emulation, or verification infrastructure development.
- Experience improving verification efficiency and automating workflows within distributed compute environments.
- Demonstrated ownership, technical leadership, and the ability to drive complex deliverables with minimal supervision.
