Position Summary

• Senior Accountant provides organized, detail-oriented professional services for full cycle accounting support within the Finance division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• General ledger (G/L) postings, fixed assets/depreciation, cost-center allocations, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities support.

• Bank reconciliations.

• Balance sheet reconciliations and transactional review.

• Process corporate accounts receivable transactions including invoicing and payment applications.

• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly GL, AR, and cash reporting.

• Assist in monthly close process and financial statement preparation.

• Assist with budgeting, financial statement, loan covenant, and variance analysis.

• Maintain integrity of the GL accounting system, specifically chart of accounts and subaccount list.

• Correspond with banks and agencies for issue resolution professionally.

• Assist with audit preparations and responses.

• Update and maintain policies and procedure documentation.

• Meet contractual commitments through timely and accurate reporting and issue resolution.

• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Marginal Functions

• Build and promote relationships with team members and peers across disciplines.

• Attend webinars and training to stay updated on best practices.

• Complete projects and duties assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strict attention to detail.

• Proficient with Excel, Word, Email; Sage Intacct and Prism HRP experience a plus.

• High standard of integrity and sound business ethics.

• Ability to work effectively with internal and external departments.

• Capable of working independently and as a team player.

Education & Experience

• Degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3-5 years accounting experience at transactional and analysis levels.

• Experience with multi-company/divisional financials and job costing preferred.

• External/internal auditing and compliance experience preferred.

Physical, Mental, & Communication Demands

• Physical Demands: Sedentary work sitting at desk/computer; frequent use of hands/fingers; some travel; occasional light lifting.

• Mental Demands: Strategic thinking, quick informed decision-making, attention to detail, problem solving, multitasking, and stress management.
