INTERNAL Senior Test Engineer (all genders) – Berlin

Your Mission

As a Senior Test Engineer in the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Pre-Integration Verification team, your mission is to ensure robust end-to-end validation of automotive software by defining, executing, and continuously improving test strategies. You will contribute to delivering high-quality infotainment systems that meet functional, performance, and user experience expectations.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will support system integration testing, coordinate daily testing activities, and ensure reliable test execution across lab and vehicle environments. Through strong analytical and debugging skills, you will help ensure stable software releases and continuous product quality improvement.

• Define and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases for IVI system integration, ensuring full requirement coverage and traceability.
• Plan and execute system integration and regression testing activities, including defect reporting, debugging, and verification of fixes.
• Perform root cause analysis of complex issues and support troubleshooting in collaboration with development and system teams.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and test engineers to ensure smooth integration and high-quality software validation.
• Design and execute test cases for IVI functionalities based on system requirements.
• Maintain and support test environments and test vehicles, ensuring correct configuration and readiness for validation activities.
• Ensure efficient execution of daily testing activities aligned with project milestones and release cycles.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and validation efficiency.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues in project discussions and support timely resolution with stakeholders.

Your Profile

Required Education

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field

• Strong knowledge of Automotive Infotainment (IVI) and telematics systems with hands-on system-level testing experience
• Experience in ECU flashing and preparation of hardware/software for testing activities
• Good understanding of Linux and/or Android-based automotive systems
• Experience in designing and executing test cases for IVI features and system requirements
• Solid understanding of test methodologies, test design techniques, and quality assurance practices
• Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and MOST
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, X-Ray)
• Strong analytical and debugging skills for identifying and isolating system issues
• Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE is a plus

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
