Your Mission

As a Test Environment Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and stabilizing complex automotive test environments across three domains. The role focuses on ECU preparation, flashing, system bring-up, and low-level troubleshooting in both bench and vehicle environments.
 In addition, you will actively support domain test drives and vehicle-based validation activities, requiring a valid driving license (Mercedes Benz F2 equivalent) and hands-on involvement with test vehicles.

Sneak preview of your future tasks

  • Configure, enable, and maintain bench‑based and vehicle‑based test environments for development and validation
  • Prepare, flash, and recover ECUs using low‑level flashing methods (DKF, bootloader, recovery modes)
  • Perform system bring‑up and root‑cause analysis across infotainment and embedded platforms
  • Support vehicle test drives for the assigned domains, including preparation, execution, and basic on‑site troubleshooting
  • Operate and analyze Android‑ and QNX‑based systems, including filesystem inspection and ADB‑based debugging
  • Diagnose HW/SW interaction issues using CAN and Ethernet analysis tools
  • Identify, report, and document anomalies observed during flashing, system startup, and test drives
  • Ensure structured issue tracking, documentation, and closure
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles

Your Profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field; or equivalent technical training (e.g., system technician / IT specialist)
  • Strong Linux expertise (command line, filesystem internals, embedded environments)
  • Hands‑on experience flashing Android devices using ADB and low‑level flashing tools
  • Solid experience with logging and diagnostics (Wireshark, CAN, Ethernet, DLT)
  • Working knowledge of QNX OS and filesystems
  • Proven experience debugging software download, flashing, and system bring‑up issues
  • Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash / Shell)
  • Experience coordinating technical topics across multiple teams and domains
  • Valid driving license (F2) and willingness to support vehicle test drives
Nice to Have
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira)
  • Hands‑on experience with Monaco and TUT
  • Experience in both Windows and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with ASPICE processes
  • Background in automotive infotainment systems
