Team Lead Quantum Application Engineering

Engineer Software Backend Frontend Full Stack Developer Programmer Coder

Qblox · Remote / unknown · Delft, Netherlands · engineering · staff

The Mission

At Qblox, we are orchestrating the "brain" of the quantum computer. Our control stacks are used by the world’s leading research labs to talk to qubits with nanosecond precision. But high-end FPGAs and ultra-low-noise RF circuits are only as powerful as the documentation, user stories, and use cases that support them.

We are looking for a Team Lead for Quantum Application Engineering to lead the charge in making our complex technology accessible, scalable, and world-class.

The Role

You will lead a high-performing team of 7 Application Engineers who sit at the heart of our cross-functional R&D organization. Your team acts as the Product Owners for various development projects, ensuring that what we build in the lab translates into value for our global customers.

You aren't just managing a team; you are an ambassador for our technology—bridging the gap between hardware engineering, software development, and the scientific community.

What you will do

  • Lead & Mentor: Manage a team of specialists focused on breaking down complex quantum use cases into actionable user stories and compelling tutorials.
  • Orchestrate the Chaos: Use metrics to triage resources and prioritize workflows, ensuring the team stays agile and focused on the highest-impact tasks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the operational nexus between senior leadership, external partners, and internal R&D teams to optimize resource allocation.
  • Technical Stewardship: Act as the final Release Manager for all user-facing documentation and continuously improve our testing lab infrastructure to ensure we stay "future-ready."
  • Culture Carrier: Translate Qblox values into day-to-day activities, fostering an inclusive environment where knowledge exchange is the default.
